Love Rooted in Home: A Backyard Wedding Full of Heart
Some love stories don’t need grand ballrooms or mountain vistas—they just need a place that feels like home.
When Alyse & Shane chose to get married in the backyard of their family’s land, it wasn’t just about convenience—it was about meaning. This was the place where childhood memories lived, where stories were passed down, and where their love had quietly grown over the years. It was the kind of space that holds you, just like the people who showed up to surround them in celebration.
Under a canopy of trees and a handmade arch, they said their vows with joy in their voices. Every detail—intentionally chosen—spoke of who they are: tender, strong, true to themselves. Their ceremony honored their LGBTQIA+ identities not as an aside, but as a central and beautiful part of the love they share.
The backyard bloomed with laughter, and chosen family. There was a deep calm to the day, like the land itself was holding space for something sacred. And in every photo, you can feel it—the ease, the truth, the celebration of two people showing up fully as themselves and being seen, loved, and celebrated for it.
These are the stories I’m honored to tell.
